Post D N B in Istanbul?
Anyone know where I can go and wiggle to some bangin drum and bass? Or am I stuck with dancing to 'its raining men' at Roxy? Because if I am I may have to go stick my head in the bospherous for a considerable amount of time.....

Drum and bass doesn't come around that often here but keep an eye out on local venues for visiting DJs.

Watch out for Indigo, the Hall, Ghetto, Garaj and this new place Otto Santral (in Eyup of all places).

Last year I saw Goldie (who was hilarious) and Talvin Singh (who was great) so keep looking out in Time Out, on the websites and (my personal fave) on billboards in Ortakoy. Peter Kruder was also here earlier this year.

However, point to note: Turkish crowds do not understand how to dance to drum and bass and are a bit reluctant to lose inhibitions and get into the music. Things are beginning to change though.

Okay thanks! I will scour the listings till my eyes go scratchy. Please, if anyone is considering going to any up and coming gigs, get in contact! I don't take up much space and i'm partially house trained.
