Glad we've started this one up again!
Song: Matta Fix: Big Citty life. Very amusing/irritating false patois:
Big City Life, Me try fi get by, Pressure nah ease up no matter how hard me try. Big City Life, Here my heart have no base, And right now Babylon de pon me case.
Other comments: Donovan: truly terrible; "we don't need to take our clothes off- to have a good time no, no": awe inspiring.

This is my favourate thread.
Had always not really seen the point of imagine (too much John and Yoko and big white piano) until I heard Brazillian legend Gilberto Gill (who fled to London as a political exile from Brazil in the late 60's) do a samba version of it at the collusseum in London, just after the London bombings. Then I listened to the words. And they made sense.
Great song, great lyrics Snowwhitetr.

Did you guys every hear that song called "The Killer Song" by Carolina Marquez this past summer? I actually thought the singer is singing "tequila" song. (ha ha, the agave song) She sings it as the "killah" song and the whistling is really annoying. Another song that was played to death in Turkbuku is "She Is a B--ch" which has a very tribal, catchy beat to it. The worst summer 05 song was that one where a guy is just mumbling through the whole song without no actual recognizable nor logical word. One of the best songs for me is Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" and Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" as well as Seal's "Love's Divine" So many really...
