Best song yesterday was listening to Paul Weller doing a ten minute version of A Town Called Malice as the final encore song at the Caird Hall in Dundee.

Absolutely awesome performance... on stage for 2hrs 20min. Sound was perfect and the whole band looked like they were genuinely enjoying themselves.

Worst was some fucker belting out a very flat version of Blondie's Heart of Glass at a karaoke night in the bar downstairs from our flat

Maybe we should start a new section for folks to stick up a review any gigs etc they've been to recently... what do you think?

Best: NiN - hurt/la mer (tie)

worst: tarkan - Bounce
wtf happened to tarkan?
He made some really good music (like bu gece, kis gunesi etc.) and he had years to make this album and he makes this crap.

Post what is shaun going on about?
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up.
It's dare.

It's DARE

You've got to press it on you
You just be thinking, that's what you do baby
Hold it down Dare

Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
Work it out

Never did no harm,
Never did no harm.

It's DARE.
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up,
It's coming up.
It's dare

You've got to press it on you
You just be thinking, that's what you do baby
Hold it down dare

Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
Work it out

Never did no harm,
Never did no harm.

It's DARE.
It's coming up,

For anybody who`s interested, the song is supposed to be called "There" but the Gorillaz couldn`t get Shaun Ryder to say "there", he kept saying dare so in the end they said, fcuk it, we`ll call it dare, hence it doesn`t really make any sense!!

Thanks BB (and Ricey- but don't neglect Slayer, mind) can hear it in my mind all over again now :D I'm sure we could cobble together some sort of meaning from the lyrics...but can't really be arsed...the song is too good (will be getting hold of the album on Friday).

In homage to a previous Rice choice, here's another lyrical puzzler [any suggestions welcome]:

He’s gonna step on you again, he’s gonna step on you
He’s gonna step on you again, he’s gonna step on you
You’re twistin’ my melon man, you know you talk so hip man
You’re twistin’ my melon man

Hey rainmaker, come away from that man
You know he’s gonna take away your promised land
Hey good lady he just wants what you got you know
He’ll never stop until he’s taken the lot
(hey hey he hey hey)

Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Don’t you know he can make you forget you’re a man
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Don’t you know he can make you forget you’re the man
You’re a man

You’re twistin’ my melon man, you speak so hip

Hey rainmaker he got golden plans I tell you
You’ll make a stranger in your own land
Hey good lady he’s got God on his side he got a double
Tongue you never think he would lie

(oh he lied, oooh he’s twistin’ my melon man
(oh he lied, oooh he’s twistin’ my melon man)

Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Don’t you know he can make you forget you’re a man
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Don’t you know he can make you forget you’re the man
You’re the man

He’s gonna step on you again, he’s gonna step on you
He’s gonna step on you again, he’s gonna step on you

Hey rainmaker, come away from that man
You know he’s gonna take away your promised land
Hey good lady he’s got God on his side he got a double
Tongue you never think he would lie

Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Don’t you know he can make you forget you’re a man
Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
Don’t you know he can make you forget you’re the man
You’re the man

You’re twistin’ my melon man, you know you talk so hip man
You’re twistin’ my melon man
(hey hey he hey hey)

He’s gonna step on you again, he’s gonna step on you again
He’s gonna step on you again, he’s gonna step on you again

Another great song... But alas, I too, cannot be bothered to work out lyrics.... although I spotted a mistake...

You’re twistin’ my melon man, you know you talk so much hip man
You’re twistin’ my melon man

Change hip for Sh*t...

I think that song was about my ex-boyfriend!!!

and don`t knock slayer, how`s about this for lyrics,

ripping apart
severing flesh
gouging eyes
tearing limb from limb
how long can you last in the frozen water burial?
how long can you live in this wide awake nightmare?

genius, i`m off to smash some stuff the fcuk up!!
