I like Benny B as well Matt.
I like DJs albums with progressive house beats - Hernan Cattaneo's South America and his Renaissance The Master Series Vol 2, John Digweed's Fabric 20, Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 4 Disc 1 some Global Underground DJ mixes ((I heard that the current one, Shanghai is good), CDs by some clubs like La Voile Rouge St.Tropez, Papagayo and Byblos St. Tropez are also good alternatives.

must be hip hop/rap. Anything with a strong base beat will help you stay at a steady, fast pace, esp when your routine gets highly aerobic.
Suggestions:
Chingy- Right Thurr
Nelly, etc- Shake your tailfeather
Usher, Lil Jon- Yeah
ja rule-mezmerize
Sean Paul750 Cent- In Da Club
Sean Paul- Get Busy
Chingy, etc- Holiday Inn
Baby Bash- Suga Suga
Beenie Man- Dude
Black Eyed Peas- Hey Mama
Black Eyed Peas- Let's Get It Started
Fat Boy Slim- Funk Soul Brother
Fat Boy Slim- Push the tempo
Houston- I like that
J Kwon- Tipsy
Naughty by Nature- Down with OPP
Nelly- Hot in here
Outkast- the way you move
Petey Pablo- Freek-a-leek
Young MC- Bust a Move
WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, GO FOR THE FIFA PLAYSTATION TUNE:
Wir sin Helden- Guten Tag

I'm very versatile as long as I'm on that eliptical. Most music pushes me on at the gym unless they're downtempo or sang by the Vienna Boys Choir.
I like your picks too Pollyanna! I still won't part with my two hip-hop CDs from 2003 from the then DJ in Reina gave me. I also enjoy Harem sometimes when I work out - the darbuka beats just make me want to get off the bike, raise my hands and belly dance though!
I have enjoyed working out lately to song from summer last year that I call "Summer 05 in Turkey/France" in my playlist. The following songs are from that list:
Galvanize - Chemical Brothers
The World Is Mine- David Guetta
Everybody - Martin Solveig
I Like The Way - Bodyrockers
Freak U - Bon Garcon
Most Precious Love - Blaze presents Uda feat. Barbara Tucker
I'll Be There - Muttonheads
So Many Times - Gadjo
Rumba Magic - Brick City
Till There Was You - Rachael Starr
The Weekiend - Michael Grey
Why Go - Faithless and Estelle Swaray
Say Hello - Deep Dish
In My Arms - Mylo
The Killer Song - Carolina Marquez
Get Up - Rhytmn Divine Project
Let's Get Down - Supafly VS Fishbowl
SOS - A Studio feat. Polina
She's A Bitch - Peakefeller
Just a Lil' Bit - 50 Cent
Candyshop - 50 Cent
I'm On Fire- Shaya Bo
The Funky Clarinet -
plus a few addtions I like that are actually rock tracks:
Mr. Brightside - The Killers
Sugar We're Going Down - (I forgot who did this just now...)
Give A Little Bit - The Goo Goo Dolls
+ a progressive house track I recommend that's kind of electro-trance flavored with pounding beats and haunting voice:
Manila Sunrise (Extended Play mixed by Markus Schulz United Light Remix/Yoshitoshi Recordings) - Luzon

I need to be pissed off in order to work out and this certainly does the job!
Now all I need to get is a punching bag with my ex's face on it and I'll be set
If you have a punch bag then you might as well have the whole body picture on there, better a kick to the privates than a punch to the face.........
i have been painting one of my apartments to UB40 , rat in me kitchen particularly inspiring. Please dont tell me its the wrong type of work out!

Trance Nation America Disk One is good for cardio workouts, such as the eliptical. Has a good beat that is sustained thru the album. Generally don't like trance/techno, but it is great for cardio.
Other than that, for adrenalin you can go with Korn (life is peachy or follow the leader albums), Nine Inch Nails (Head like a hole, the perfect drug, march of the pigs. I also try and throw in some randoms such as, Filter (hey man nice shot), Disturbed (sickness), Rage against the machine (bulls on parade) Soundgarden (Rusty Cage), Sevendust (Bitch) etc etc... Some rap works well too, Ice Cube (The Preadator), Xzibit (Symphony In X Major)

 re:spinning on my list -banana-
I like your music taste. similar to mine. was wondering if you could let me know of any cool places to hang out where such jazzy/loungy/ellectronic/dubby stuff plays, so I can dance now and then. The only place I know is Babylon -actually also Nayah... By the way, if you like Thievery Corp. you might also like all the High Fidelity Dub Sessions, Tosca, Bob Holroyd, Gotan Project...

Arikan, I think "it's raining men" by the weather girls is best suited for you while working out.
