 Afternoon everyone
Hi there,
I can't think of anything exciting to write on a Friday after work except how much my feet hurt, but I'm buying an apartment in Istanbul soon, and was hoping to benefit from everyone's wisdom and helpful comments.

Zoe, Zoe, Zoe... Haven't you lived here for a thousand years? Why buy an apartment then?

Even an ageing empress wants to get a foot on the property ladder. Trends from the last few hundred years show property prices are on a general upward trend.....

Welcome to the Forum Zoe. Are you here now? If not, why the move? I keep a pair of flip flops under the desk for days when I know that my stupid heels are going to make me cry by lunchtime

It's a good idea, I've been keeping a pair of trainers, but flipflops would probably look less odd. I'm getting some funny looks at the moment when I emerge in trainers, they are the most comfy shoes I have, but they have a large flouresent stripe, so my feet flash when I walk......
I'm not planning to move yet, I just don't think I could bare to do my boring job until I'm 68, so I thought I had better come up with an alternative.

Hi Zoe
Welcome.
Where do you want to buy in Istanbul? Do you live in Istanbul already?
Can't comment on high heels or flip-flops but am sure that comfy shoes make all the difference in life.

Thanks Paul.
Hi Jonathan, I'm looking to buy around Cihangir and Firuzaga, that sort of area. I'm not currently in Istanbul, I live in London. and yes, comfy shoes are very important! I had an operation on my feet a couple of years ago, and can finally wear heels and sandals again, so have of course gone mad and worn the silliest I can find. I bring the pain on myself, but my feet look so nice in sandals.....
