My Name is Baik-Ran. You can call me also "Bengi" I'm from Southkorea. Since July 2004 we (my turkish husband and me) live in Istanbul. I studied Finearts first in Korea and then in Germany. I tried your website but couldn't find your pictures. Are you a painter? I'd like to see your work.

 Korean wedding
Yes, my son is marrying a lovely girl named Soonhee. In fact he is flying from America today. I know what they will do in the traditional wedding but I'm a bit vague about what I -- the new in-law - am expected to do, how I should dress, and what, oh, what should I give to the parents. I am standing in for his father who passed away three years ago.
By the way, I have a good friend here who is Korean and engaged to a Turkish man. She does not know much about wedding though.

 exhibiting work
You might be interested in talking to Jennifer of Java Studio in Sultanahmet. She has regular exhibits of local artists. I liked your work!

 huh ! :)
huh so many replies
I participated to Artbosphorus 07 in Feshane last spring and another Group-Exhibition in Kadıköy. Turkish artscene is another different to p.e. germanscene. Turkish people didn't prefer abstract pictures and they think woodcut can be print like a newspaper thousand times
Anyway, if I find an interresting exhibition, I would like to participate it
Verjen, don't worry about your new in-law. Korean people are similar to turkish people compare to europeans or americans. Koreans are little quiet and reserved than turks. I'm sure it will be in harmony
