I lived in Istanbul for 2 years 6 years ago and returned in April 2007 - here for the duration, I hope!

now if I can just learn the damn language....

You might. Think of it as a 'learn by your mistakes' kind of adventure. It's not too disimilar to starting school all over again. But with more alcohol.
