Post Aussie newbie
Hi there,

I am a 29 year old Aussie girl and have been here since April and thought it was high time I join the site! Having met a Turk here three years ago, I decided it was time to make the move from Melbourne to Istanbul, via London! So far I am loving it here and life is cruising along nicely. I'm still adjusting to the madness of it all, but not sure if you ever really do? I work in Maslak and wonder if there are any other foreigners working in the area too?

Thanks!
foreignfistik

Hello and welcome.
Why on earth goto London? not exactly the most direct route but I guess if you needed to go to a toilet then you couldnt have chosen a better place.

fancy some Paintball???

Welcome, yabancinut

Maslak, nice place, do you also live there? No, just joking. Nobody lives there.

And what happened to the Turk you met 3 years ago. Did you still recognize him when you came?

Paintball...well its like on the list of "things you must do before you die" like climb mount everest, swim the barrier reef and hit RSA over the head with the butt of your gun.

hi jonathon, thanks for your welcome.

Soon people will be living in Mashattan actually. my office looks into the site and its coming along quick. the traffic will be outrageous once the thousands have moved in....although I dont know how people can afford the prices!

i did recognise the turk i met all those years ago and we are now living happily ever after....

Welcome, foreignfistik, so, you met a Turk here and moved to London, is that correct? This forum of strange people might be the right place for you. We also have nice toilets here (in Turkey I mean), and very interesting ones, too.

Didn't you know that it is a law that all of us Aussies must work in London for at least a year. As I read somewhere, "In London you are never more than seven feet away from a rat, or an Australian."

Welcome to the forum foreignfistik from a fellow Aussie.

Met some Aussies in Cappadocia. Said they left London for Swansea (no jobs in Walkabout probably)...only to get beaten up and verbally abused by the Welsh.

PS Starman's Welsh.

Welcome Fistik.

Welcome Fistik!
I too left London to come here and
haven't regretted it for a minute - in spite of the
toilets - although can recommend the Marmaris Hotel if in
dire need.
