 Australian woman in Ankara
Hello to all
I will be moving to Cayyolu in Ankara in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to making some new friends, both Turkish and expats. I'm a naturopath and hope to meet other like-minded people who can direct me to other natural therapists, health food stores, yoga centres and other "tree-hugging hippy" activities

Welcome. Well a lot of us are greedy exploitative capitalists only concerned with material goods, but very welcoming. Im sure plenty around in Ankara are wanting some bonding.

You could try contacting the Maha Mantra Natural Living Centre. They have a place in town in GOP and another out in Konutkent, which I'd imagine is closer to where you'll be. The number's 240 1309. My girlfriend went there for a long while for yoga. It's fairly spiritual, I gather - Vegetarian food served after sessions, giving new Hindu names to students and other stuff. they also do regular retreats. There're quite a few other places too.

Welcome noysee. Our (not so green, but rather) brown capital isn't really famous for tree-hugging, yogaing, and naturopathing opportunities. What else will keep you busy there?

Welcome noysee from another Australian living in Ankara. Is your name inspired by Kath and Kim?
