 BACK IN THE 'BUL
Hi to all expats and Istanbulites.
Hoping to move across the water to Besiktas or Sariyer this month from Kandilli so looking forward to a fresh start - hopefully more contact with expats and make some new friends...ive been bouncing back and forth from Kazakhstan for the last 2 years where i work. Istanbul is now home (turkish wife and daughter at BISI).
It would be great to get together with anyone who is planning to watch the Rugby World Cup Final tomorrow night - and would appreciate the company of a gregarious Englishman - please let me know.
Happy days, fatboytim

Hey fatboytim, welcome.
There will be a load of us Englishmen in Balans on Balo Sokak off Istiklal in Taksim (next door to the James Joyce) for the final. It was packed for the France v England semi, so you'll need to be there quite early for the 10pm kick-off.

Nice one - I have a strange feeling that we have already met. My wife Fatosh danced at Krishnas Birthday at the Indian Cultural Centre - last month 4th I think. Am I correct? If so great if not no worries. Are you guys meeting up earlier for a few beers? If so I'll be there.

I was there at the Cultural Centre, but I'm not sure if we met or not. Anyway, we will try to be in Balans for 8/8.30pm, so the drinking will indeed start early. I've PM'd you my number. See you there.
