 Hi everyone
Hello there. Before going on let me tell you my biggest problem at the moment: the comma key on my keyboard doesnt work anymore. So please be tollerant (or compassionate) with my syntax!
So here I go: French 25 years old and married (yes it s veeeeeery young ) to a turkish girl. I give french private lessons for a living and I love Istanbul (i ve been here for one year) but I m sure it s not a surprise for you my fellow Istanbulular!
I ll be going to TOMER to learn some more turkish from october so if anyone there is also a TOMER studient maybe we ll meet and practice some "Merhaba? Nasılsın? Çay istiyor musun?" together some day!
See you soon!
Flo.

Hello 2Flo, can we call you 2?
,,,,,,,,,,,, here's a few commas, please feel free to borrow as many as you need. It's great that you love Istanbul, so few seem to on this forum.
See you soon!

Hi Flo,
welcome to the site. Only problem here is we have too many Brits, but you are obviously helping us to increase the number of non-British.
By the way: do you run, by any chance?

A German asking a Frenchman if he runs, is that a threat?
Sorry, bad taste.

Hi again. David I can t say "No" to a guy who gave me some commas so generously so of course you can call me "2". But please in french... I don t feel ready to be called "iki" or "two".
"It's great that you love Istanbul, so few seem to on this forum." Really? Why that?
And Jonathan I just run if I m trying to cross the street faster than the dolmuş coming from the left and the 3 taxis trying to kill me from the right. So I guess you run if you ask? Seriously I dont specialy run...

Thanks Deux, I don't know why so many don't like Istanbul, it's really such a fabulous place. I love it and want it to have my kids.

The chaos eventually gets very boring. The winter months will be the test of this.

Welcome 2Flo! I'm also glad that you like Istanbul as I too think there are too many dissenters on board! The first ten years are the worst I hear ...
Hope to meet you and Mrs 2Flo at the drinking hole at some point and feel free to rant when the need arises!

Thanks everyone for the welcoming!! I ll certainly meet you soon at the next expat party or in any drinkin hole (and vincent I m always ok for a cheese party of course!)
"Istanbul, city of broken comma keys, we love you"
A far better introduction to the city than "Welcome to Istanbul (comma) the only city built on two continents and a bridge between cultures..."
See you all!
