 Hello from Canakkale
Hi there,
I've been in Turkey for over six years now. I'm from Dublin and I married to a Black Sea delikanli. We have two young kids. I spend my time writing and doing the housework
Looking forward to chatting to you all,
Cathy

Welcome to EIT Cathy. Where are you based? What do you write about?

Cathy,
Do you ever get to Istanbul? We have a lot of expat writers here, many of them are women. You can get in touch with us and share your work -- that is, questions, ideas etc. -- if you feel you like that sort of thing. Welcome to the forum.

Hey Cathy!
Failte Romhat from one another Dubliner to another! I'm in Istanbul for the last couple of years. Apparently there's quite a few of us here
I loved the relaxed atmosphere of Canakkale and walking down the shoreside promenade - v. different to hectic Istanbul! Are you in central Canakkale or do you live nearby?

Thanks everyone.
(Desperately trying to remember how to say thank you in Irish....nope completely replaced by Turkish so tesekkur ederim turquiose)
We're just outside the town of Canakkale. The kordon is great especially in summer when the cafes open on the street. I don't get up to Istanbul that often, in fact it's embarrasing how little I know it after so long in Turkey. Ah well, as the kids grow we'll get around more.
I write anything! No, my aim like most Irish expat writers is fiction but it's slow going. I'm in touch with a writing group in Istanbul (IW) which is pushing my writing onward (is it the same group?!).
