Hello.. not new to Istanbul, but new here..
Hello. I have been in Istanbul for a few years. I am looking forward to exploring this forum and maybe I will learn something. Thanks
Hmmm.. Thanks for the replies to my post.
I have been here for about 5 years. I am from the East coast of the USA. I like Istanbul, but I love Turkey. I am not much of a football fan although I live very close to FB stadium. I love WNBA, and NBA is alright too. I really enjoy travelling and hope to see more of Turkey in the future. I would love to go on an "eating tour" of Turkey. I love Turkish food and would really like to travel to other areas to meet its people and eat the food. I am not so much interested in historical stuff because I can look at photos and satisfy most of that curiousity. Peace

TeachEnglish - welcome to the forum - As SDK rightly points out - can we have some more info? Also can we call you TeeHee for short? (or just for a laugh! )

Hi TeHe
who do you teach: Kids, Uni
do you also cook? There are a few very talented cooks here on the forum and a few less talented food critics
I only like the eating bit, but not the coking myself. The eating tour of Turkey: i am sure one could compile a eating tour of Turkey, including only Restaurants in Istanbul. Makes the time spent between the meals shorter.

I teach at a University. I also enjoy teaching adults that want to learn English.
I would like to go on an eating tour to sample the foods and meet some of the people from the different regions.
Obama.. McCain.. Hillary.. bashing each other is part of the political game. I am not sure where Obama was going with his last speech about race but I think he ended up in a mess.. I would like to see Hillary president and Obama as Vice.. after 8 years.. let Obama have it..if he is worthy at that point.
