Hola there,

since we seem to be in the "latin mood", what about to arrange a latin night somewhere with salsa, merengue, etc?

I don't know so much about places playing latin music except Murphy's in Kalamis on Tuesdays. However I'm sure that there would be something also in european part and I'm also sure that there's somebody more informed than me :)
Although I am a newbie in the Latin dance, I would like to join a Latin night if an organization is arranged! I know that there are a plenty of places organizing Latin nights, however it is important to know which one is the best. Is there any volunteer to do this research? : )

I'd love to go salsa dancing too. Sorry, I can't claim to be of any sort of latin/spanish extraction, but have done a bit of salsa in the (dim and distant) past..........Can I join you?

Hi Shin,

Yes it will be great to organize a latin night; but if you do please see the mess of what is going on with organising a diner with fish. Go to activity ideas and then see Fish in Bebek; you will have fun and see how to do it corectly or will have the same problems of Elisa....

Thanks Sheri for the recommendation. We could try that one if it's nice.

In the Activities the thread is opened. Let's arrange for this Sat 13th or next Sat 20th.

Hi Mattia

Love latin dancing but havent a clue how to do it. When I was at Vento34 I was sitting on the terrace watching the others dancing the whole nite thru. You know how frustrating that can be. Havent got the time to take up salsa dancing.

Sheri, not to worry i'm a bad latin dancer acording to the ones that received clases, i never did you just get in to it and in five minuts you look great so I will be there for your first steps... Hope they also have merengue, cumbia or punta they are much more fun than salsa and easier to dance and you can improvise also so throw your self in the water!!!!!

I have also checked the club Vento. They organize Latin nights on Tuesdays. The enterance fee is 15 ytl and one drink is included. I guess it is worth for trying!

Shin, does it mean that Vento does not play Latin music on Saturdays? Any other place in mind?

Sheri, Latinlover is right do not worry! just join and have fun. Then you should just feel and follow the music. I'm very bad too but let's try!

hmm I don't know if they play Latin music on Saturdays. You know generally Club music is played on SAturday at most places. I have seen on http://www.istanbulperformans.com/haber ... asp?id=141 that starting from next Tuesday, there will be LAtin nights every Tuesday.
Actually most clubs organize these nights at weekdays; so I don't know any place where they play Latin music on saturdays. I'll check the other options..

I see.. the point is that we wanted to find a place with latin music for the week-end. However we will keep checking and waiting for any others recommendations as well..

From now on please post things about this issue in the relevant post on the Activities, it will be easier to follow it up!
