Hello Dom, I had assumed you were revealing your sexual preference.

Welcome.

Cmon Banana, the best side of Istanbul is the Asian side. :)
Welcome to Istanbul Mr. Dom. I'm also Canadian and am a retired IT guy now teaching computer science (a lot more interesting and fun but the pay sucks in comparison - a small sacrifice I suppose  ). If you truly do live in the best part of Istanbul then maybe we can meet up for drinks over here sometime and talk canuck.

well OF COURSE the asian side is the best... you and i know this ... and some scattered few others
but most people refer to the european side with starry eyes (dig the rhyme scheme there? am gearing up for the beastie boys!)

Hi Dom,
Welcome :) Must admit the same thought crossed my mind (what David said) but then I thought of Dominic and Italian... and maybe I should stop now.

Thanks everyone. Yes I am half Italian. parents from Calabria but i was born in Mississauga. Have not been here for a while and see 2533 new posts. You guys must be busy. Thought mymerhaba was good untill they changed their format.
Just moved into my new pad in the Kanyon so now you see what I mean by it being the best side.
Any meet ups coming up soon? Nalan told me you guys meet up often.

Hi Dom

We met at the newbie dinner and I remember telling you about the latin dance nite (thats today). If you are still interested meet us at 7.15 Galatasary High School. Alternatively, you can join the dinner organised by Uta at Sofyali Asmalimescit Sk Beyoglu at 8.30. We may join her later after the dance course.

Welcome Dom!
The posts above are taking on a surrealistic tone, so I'm not surprised you don't remember the question!
Look forward to meeting you (and others I haven't yet met) at the Drinks in Sept :)
