Post Just in from Prague
Hello, I've just bounced in on the expat express from Prague as of two days ago. Looking forward to the challenges of expat life in another city. At least in this place I don't have to worry about where to find decent teabags.

Yes. I'm English. I was born that way.

Hello to you all :D

Hi,

I used to live in the US for the past 12 years and moved back to Turkey a couple of months ago. I am well traveled, speak 5 languages (Sp, Fre, Eng, Ger and Tur) and would be interested in meeting with other expats. Originally I am from Turkey but am very much used to being with foreigners.

Coco,

Welcome to the community. I take it you're in "sales"?

I'm afraid it's even more insidious than sales - marketing.

What do you guys all do?

Welcome to EIT

When I was in a hotel I compared it to Alan Partridge but without the Geordie - most depressing part was when I realised the bar staff knew me by name.

Welcome Coco, and I think you should worry about where to find decent teabags, and decent tea as well.

Do essential items like teabags need marketing? I really like the tea here actually its great! Just waiting for my stuff to arrive from the Czech Republic for I have stashes of hobnobs and curly wurlys.

Just enjoyed my first weekend here as a resident. Was lucky enough to meet some Istanbulus last year in Amsterdam who have been showing me round and giving me advice on where to live. Everyone has been really friendly, have already been offered three dates from taxi drivers. I'm well set.

It's early days but i'm rather liking it here

Wow. Liking the lousy tea is one thing, but liking the even lousier taxi drivers is another. Can I take lessons in your school of positive thinking, coco?
