Post just hi:)
Hi!! My name is Elif and I'm a 25 years-old architect living|working in istanbul Actually my home town is İzmir but Ihave been living in here for about 7 years!! After graduation, studied as an exchange student in Denmark. came back last year and still miss Denmark a lot ! It was so very great to have friends from many different nations and I am wishing and hoping to have a similiar atmosphere in here, despite I know that this web-site is actually for expats in turkey. But still wanted to send you my hellos :) :)
Hope to see you around sometimes!

Welcome to the forum Elif!

BTW, if you are looking for some ways to get out and meet people, and want to practice public speaking skills too, come to one of the Toastmasters meetings (no affiliation with this forum). A few of the members of this here forum are members of Toastmasters, too.

For more info, see our incredibly fancy website at istanbultoastmasters.org.

Velkom Elif,

which school in Denmark did you go to: DTU, Aarhus? And, compared to Istanbul, did you not think everything was a bit too clean, organised and boring?

Are you working as an Architect here now?

Mvh

Well, I was in Kopanhagen, Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole! DTU is more for engineers I guess. I think Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole was the best ;) Yes, it was definitely very clean and coordinate place but ı had so many friends around and never felt bored really! I also had my sisters husband family there that always made me feel like ı was at home 8) ( She is married with a danish) so, in brief it was a fabulous experience for me!
And, yes, ı am now working at a construction company as an architect and we have many projects going on in Moskow! But the main office is in istanbul, and ı am here too :)

Hello Elif/Elisa,

welcome to the forum!

I guess that in Copenaghen you had Italian friends if Elif became Elisa :-)

See you around.
