Hello folks,

I've been in Turkey for over two years now, but was hidden away in dusty Ankara... Recently moved to Istanbul and discovered this site just the other week.

Delighted to make your acquaintance,

H.

I'm working as a copy editor at an English-language Turkish paper at the moment, and I hail from Croydon, Home of Champions (TM). I seem fated to live only in cities that are +90% concrete.

Ah Yes - but it's the other ten percent that's interesting. At least it's not Milton Keynes!

Welcome! I had the joy and honour of living in the Croydon area for many years in my youth - heady days!
I hope you enjoy Istanbul - whereabouts are you living now? Is it TDN or TZ??

Actually I've worked at both...

I don't miss Croydon one iota. However, I am in the throes of a love affair with my new apartment, concrete tho it may be :D

Err, bonjor ousssi.

Glad to find another concrete admirer. I started making a list of the different grey shades that concrete has in Istanbul......so far I have listed and photographed 153! Please feel free to contribute to my collection, laydee_h. One day I will have a photo exhibition of beautiful Istanbul!

Echoing Bhaklava ... are you working for TZ? Welcome to general chaos and attempts to clear it up.
