Post new asian girl in town
hi all-
this is my 2nd week in Istanbul - I am from Hong Kong, based out of the US for work (Chicago) and just moved here from Qatar.

I had an awesome time this weekend with a few of you hiking (thanks!) and just had an "authentic" experience getting the full rub down from a turkish lady at one of the hammans! very interesting...

Would love to do more around the city and hang out - would be up for trying anything at least once!...suggestions and friends to see/experience the hidden "best of" istanbul welcomed!

-k

Welcome, and this must be a bit of a culture shock to you; I seem to be splitting my time between Doha and Istanbul at the moment and know which location I prefer.

Post let me guess...
hmm...let me take a wild guess... as much as I enjoyed my nightly hangout at Rydges in Doha, there's not a whole lot I miss about Qatar. Especially not the 45C heat...

Tell me when you're ever in town - we can swap war stories ;-)

Yes, it was great fun hiking with you on the week-end Kitty. Hopefully we'll get out again sometime.
btw, don't forget to mention that you grew up in TO, Canada. That's your most important biographical fact!
Again, welcome to Istanbul!

Hey Kitty,

I wont really say welcome, since you've been here longer than me, and since we work together I feel like I don't have to be nice ;). Just kidding, glad to have you here with me. Plus, I need to post more, so here's a welcome message.

Shelby
