Simpson you are not Letterman.
Welcome Olivier. Are you French Canadian perchance or were your parents just a fan of post-war Shakesperian theatre?

Hi,
Unfortunately I am just French and not Canadian - half from Paris half from the south of France to be more precise.
I work here for a Turkısh bank, sent by a French one.
I am ready for the next beer-lıfting training.
Olivier
ps : are you all canadian ??

If we were, the forum should be called 'Expat Canuk In Turkey.com' which doesn't have quite the same ring to it. Welcome.

Don't worry Olivier we are not all Canadian (although I can do a pretty authentic rendition of the lumberjack song). I'm from a little town called Bethlehem, David Simpson is from Chelsea, London and English Mike is (obviously) from Tajikistan.
ps What is going on with your PM Sarky. Has he never been to a hamman?

Definitely more Corbett than Barker. And stop watching BBC Prime: try Comedy Max, Elma or the business channel instead.

I'm not from Chelsea ...... far too many plebs there now. New money rabble. I'm from Surrey, the good bit, with horse jumping, huntin'n'shootin', and grouse for breakfast.
There's a fair few French on the forum as well Olivier, mostly living in Cihangir. You might want to take a look around there for a place.

Yes, Cihangir is full of cafes to sit outside of, dressed in black and looking as though reading something by Satre or Kafka ..... perfect for French types.
Black coffee and Gauloise please waiter.
