 I`m new
Hello everybody
My name is Ian and I have just moved to sunny Ortakoy from not quite as sunny Cheltenham. I am having a good time although working has a tendancy to get in the way a bit. I`ve found turkish people to be very kind and friendly but it would be nice to meet some English speaking people as well (maybe even make some friends!). I hear there are regular drink-ups at the Sedir in Ortakoy
I`ve been told I must leave vital statistics on my first posting so here goes:
Age:28 Occupation:Quality Control (like the man from Del Monte) Team:Liverpool (el FC) Marital status:between work Birth place:Birkenhead (shotgun city) Spouse:none Education:none Luck at landing my job due to the above:mammoth Friends in Istanbul:3 Social life:lack lustre
Hopefully this will give you a small insight into my life and hope to hear from you all and make some friends soon!! Cheers n gone

Hi Ian and welcome. Good to see you are heeding the advice of our forum sexist "Charly". So you come from 'Nam (Cheltenham)? I got some family living in nearby Wooten under something. But I thought one scouse fan on here was enough but I guess we can make room for one more. Look forward to your posts and please no holding back, we are a nice bunch but watch out for the lounge morons.

He is the lounge moron! Lovely Cheltenham - why ever did you leave? So let's get to it - 1. Marital status - Between work. What does that mean? Between jobs you pop in somewhere for a bit of lovin?? Starman is always up for that. 2. Birkenhead - Doesn't the big fella in drag come from there? 3. Age - good time of life I must say! Welcome to expatinturkey!

Ok Charly, 1.Between work meaning single as long as my mind serves me 2.Thats my mum your talkin about 3.You`re right, I am scientifically speaking, the perfect age
Do you know Cheltenham, it is lush, if a little shy on Mosques, but duty calls!
Don`t any of you lot have work to do, i can feel myself being sucked away from mine into a world of inter net world webness (which is better than bollocking people for making shit clothes, which is what I`m being paid for)

Do we get some freebies then?
I sometimes have work to do - that is when I don't post - or like now I have work to do - but have to take regular breaks before my brain explodes.
Have you got a funny accent?
Re. Cheltenham - a best mate lives there so I've been forced into various bars. Tough, I know.

Freebies might be an option
Funny accent? I don`t know, where are you from? I`m told by some people I have a northern accent, and by others that I have a west country accent, I`ve got some cornish in me (urgh)
Who`s your friend in Cheltenham?

Re. footie Monkeypants - off to film festival again mate! Did you call last night? Had 4 missed land line numbers - maybe it was Cemmie boy
