Post Hi there! (Merhaba)
Can't really say I'm new to Istanbul .. I was in the USA for 6 years - traveled around mostly because of school and co-op. Then worked in Manassas for about 9 months. For some reason I wanted to come back to Istanbul. To be honest, a lot changed around here, so I'm trying to get used to the lifestyle, work (and living with the family ). Places I lived in the USA : Manassas VA, Southampton PA, Rochester NY and Santa Clara CA.

Thanks to starfish, I discovered this forum. If you have questions about the culture, I can help.. but for any other , I am as foreign as you are :)

starfish:

Of course I would like to join you guys.. I just hope that it's not during the weekday. I work over time a lot these days.

Collete:

Thanks :) Hos bulduk. She told me about you too.. Excited about the dinner so i can meet with all of you guys.

Reasons? well.. here they are
Family/Friends
Bebek :) I was using a picture as my wallpaper and every time i looked at it, i wanted to just be there. (it might be a stupid reason, but i seriously could not sign the papers for the H1B visa applications)
Sometimes I really missed talking in Turkish. There weren't too many of them around me. (Lol, now I'm the same with English)
Last city I lived in(Manassas) was a little too small than I was used to. I couldn't even talk in English and I didn't know Spanish.. which didn't help me:)
