Post Book/DVD/VCD Swapping
Have borrowed a couple of books from Starlibrarian recently and a DVD from SimonB, shortly to be followed by another from Arikan. But im getting old and my memory is failing, i cant remember who ive lent and borrowed to!!

Is there any possibility of setting up a section on the website for wants/needs and offers?? Then the interested parties could post the ''trade' that takes place and it is recorded so no-one forgets. Doesnt need to be official like a library, more of a loose record. This way, other interested browsers can see what is doing the rounds.

I realise the British Consulate has a library but as our community grows, couldnt this be a useful idea. Or is this idea too gay?

Nope, sounds ok, we'll add it to the "to consider" list.

When I saw you'd already answered, I feared the 'no way' response!!

Good, lets see what happens.

Sounds like a very good idea to me! But I guess we would need a 'volunteer' to keep records.

Stupid wanky suggestions get an automatic "no way".

Sensible constructive suggestions *always* get considered, even if we can't see the advantage/attraction.

No need Musulko.

Time limit would be 1 month maximum. The person lending would post a message on the thread, so therefore they would be the only person able to delete said message when the item has been returned, thus cancelling the transaction.

Only problem may come if people are tardy and admin have to archive posts after 2 or 3 months??

..or you lend books etc to people you don't really know, only to disappear forever.

I will be willing to share the goods in case of a thread/sub-forum like the one Maymunn suggested. It will make it much easier for us to find "non-generic" films.
