Despite having checked the 'always logged in' button I keep getting logged out and when I log back in it shows 0 new posts even though I know there are new ones since my last visit. I've tried deleting the cookie etc but to no avail. Any ideas?

It happens to me, too. I think it's because we smell.

Don't want to state the obvious ... but I will anyway.

Deleting cookies means signing in again when you visit sites that require logging in.

Grandmother, eggs, teach etc etc, but just in case.

Seriously though, I'm not 100% sure why this is happening - or rather I know *why* it happens, but *not* why it's happening specifically to you.

Try clearing both your cookies and browser cache then log in and log out by way of the "log out" button. That should reset your session and cure the issue.

If it doesn't, let us know. Be helpful if anyone else who is having this issue lets us know.

The alternative is that FD may be working on the DB and has been clearing the session table

i admit it is fun to bounce everyone of the forum at once but i haven't been doing any work on the DB today. how could you suggest me doing some work JF? say, if i remember correctly we have been here before haven't we.... yeah see:
