 General Film Thread
I asked this on a thread but I thought I might take it here, seeing as this place is more appropriate.
Would it be ok to start a general film thread in The Lounge where people can discuss, analyse and/or just plain bitch about films they have seen?

You can start which ever threads you want. Maybe the Admins will create a section? Popular Culture would be a good title. Discuss music, films, performances, books etc.

I was rather surprised at a lack of a "pop culture" forum. Albeit just a lowly newbie, I have to say I am an advocate of the idea.

Sounds cool to me. See what we can do although it may not be immediate, time a bit of an issue all round just now.

Sounds good (although have to occasionally recoil from the temptations of my pretentious side) Can I nominate renaissance man, culturevulture (and operagoer) monkeynuts to moderate.

Sounds like a brilliant idea to have a focused forum on art, lit, moving pics and animation, performances, festivals and the club culture too.
Filmwise, I was dragged to see "The Chronicles of Narnia" and it was boring with a capital B. At least for me anyway.
Gosh, the last opera I went to was in French! The one before that in English (ENO) which is now defunct I think. I was a baby then ;-) I'll catch an Italian one next season...or not.
Ballet? The last one I saw was actually very festive - The Nutcracket Suite. It never ceases to entertain and delight the kid in me. I love Giselle and Swan Lake.
Armin Van Buuren was here at Ruby Skye Tonight. I missed it though. Sleep is more precious these days.

Cricket didn't crack the nuts so pardon my faux pas. It was the "Nutcracker Suite" with the dancing sugar plum fairies. Fantastic score as well by you know who.
Can we at least have the girls forum back in the interim or is that unfair to everyone? It just isn't the same without it...ask the ladies.
Nighty night...

OK folks, better late than never. Due mostly to FD, we now have a Popular Culture section where you can discuss books, movies and music to your hearts content.
