 jobs section?
I've just started work at an English course, and they are desperate to recruit more native English speakers. I've got all the details, but where should I post them? In the classified section, I can't see a "jobs" section, and wasn't sure that TEFL talk would be the appropriate place.

Hi Mark
There is a job section but it is only visible to active members (meaning those who have a certain number of posts). This is because we like to help our friends on here and want to avoid people just coming along and nicking our info!
However.................As you have a job you want to post, post it here and I will transfer it over to Employment.
Thanks a lot for the lead!

 job postings?
Just an observation on a subject someone else new has touched on:
I'm not over in Turkey... yet. I joined this site for job postings, to research apartment/living situations, among other things. Yet when I look for that, turns out I'm still "too new" and don't have "enough" posts to see certain things. I don't post unless I have something to say. I don't have time or inclination to post just to fulfill the plan, and I'm sure you probably don't want to read or scroll through that kind of padding anyway. Please advise.

Hi Kebap Queen,
not my job, but as I am online I'll tell you.
Mods and Admins will not tell you how many posts you will need, nor will they give you early access. As I sometimes land on the Employments page and that there is a TEFL page now, it would be worth you having a look.
You are right though, that noone likes useless meaningless posts. Therefore, why don't you scroll through the pages, I am sure there are a few more you can access and that are interesting to you and offer your comments.
Always easy is the Introduction page, because any posts there causes answers and you can get into a "conversation". Others are probably the new "popular culture" page (I assume you can access that one) as you can let us know about books music etc you recently came across.
Keep posting, there is light at the end of the tünel.

Something really strange just happened to me. I logged in to EIT and went to the job postings forum. Someone (cant remember the name now) said that a Dutch insurance company is looking for ppl. So i press the reply button. As soon as I press submit i get a message that this forum does not exist. So i went back to the forum index to enter the jobs forum again. And now it's not there anymore! Am I blind??? Can someone pls tell me what happened.
Thanks in advance.

Let me put it that way: the "Employment" forum still exists, your post is there and when you'll have enough posts one day, you'll might be able to see it.

So Jonathan, you are saying that you actually went into the jobs forum and that you have seen my post there? I hope so, please let me know. I still don't really understand though how it is possible that I was able to enter the jobs forum in the first place. Probably just a mistake.
Thanks a lot for looking Jonathan.
