this is due to the fact that Daylight Saving Time in North America (United States, Canada, Mexico) only starts on first Sunday in April! our servers are in America thus expect this to change on April 3rd :wink: see also: FAQ

as for the log-in problem we are aware but don't really know how to handle this as it is a glitch with phpBB. we are pretty sure it has to do with a discrepancy between the cookies set by your browser and the sessions stored in the database but are still unsure how to remedy this. anyone out there who could give us some support on this is more than welcome to respond, please.

Yes, this double log in is a cookie issue, and appears to only affect some users. The only short term remedy I've come up with is to clear the cookies from the local machine (i.e. your browser). Not a very practical or efficient way of doing it but like Carlo, I'm stumped here too :(

I usually just tick the "Log me on automatically each visit" and have no problem then. But a funny thing is that I sometimes have to click log out twice to get out.

Update: i think we may have cracked the cookies [matter]. we made a few changes and i recently have been succesful to log in first-time for three different accounts on the following browsers:
  • Mozilla 1.7.3;
  • Firefox 1.0.1 and
  • IE 6 xp_sp2
obviously i don't have available to me all the different browsers and versions on the market today thus we would appreciate it if you could help us test this. please let us know if you still experience the double login problem after today.

IMPORTANT: before testing the changes we have applied you need to clear the cookies for expatinturkey from your browser and restart the browser!!!
