My last post raises another issue.
What would you consider the criteria for being an established member?
Number of posts?
Face fits?
Attendance at nights out?
We would be very interested to know what you think...

I was more thinking anyone who is already a member, has posted in the past (at least an introduction) and has never given any cause for concern (e.g. pm'ing unwarrantedly or visa hunting at nights out).
I'd be more than willing to take on the task of vetting new members based on a questionaire if yourself and the other admins don't have the time. But I don't think that you should consider this as being an overly conservative measure, many websites require you to register and then send you an e-mail to activate your account, all we'd be doing is adding an unseen vetting in between these steps. The real question is technically can it be done?

Why not keep it just as it is? It seems to work allright!
After having tried a few different Turkey-forums, this one seemed the most relaxed and member-friendly. It is informal, yet not rude. Informative, yet not boring.
Lots of people came here as strangers and became acquainted and even friends through the forum. Doesn't sound to me like anything needs to be changed!
Ofcourse, the odd wanker will pass by now and then. On which grounds to tolerate or to remove will remain a topic of discussion. There is no answer that is always right. On this forum (like in real life), it could be better using common sense then a book full of rules.
