Hello,

I m having a problem today. I have 2 mail in my mailbox saying that I have new PM but there s no PM when I check forum. Weird, isnt it? There r 2 explanations for that. First, someone s loging in with my name and delete my new PMs or there s something wrong with this PM messages. First option s imposible for me so there s a problem :)

Waiting for an explanation pls

Cheers

M

or somebody sent you a love message, waited 5 mins to see if you would answer, then bottled out and unsent the message. even though the message was unsent, you would still have the email notification to tell you, you received a pm.

starman's explanation is the most plausible thing of what might have happened. all your records on the database show no abnormalities in any way. let us know if the behaviour keeps up and it will then be best to forward the notification e-mail plus full headers to the administrator.

actually it is possible.
When you send a pm it stays in your outbox until the person you've sent the message to reads it.
if you delete it out of your outbox before they read it, they will never be able to see it.

however, the forum software does send an email to that person the moment you send the pm.

so it is possible.

Nop Ani, I got yr PM and notification mail today. So there s nothing wrong about that. Yesterday I got 2 notification mail but there was no PM. The last time I received PM was last week. So, 2 PM s missing which belong to yesterday.
Anyway, its not big deal but strange only.
Thanks for everyones concern

M
