Not sure if this ever came up, but what do you think about one Forum for language related stuff. I think we enough french and german speaking guys here, which might be interested in special information which are of very limited use for the rest, e.g.

- german / french bookstores
- Where to get german / french newspapers
- Restaurant with original Münchner Weißbier :-)
- German / French keyboard to sell

...

Also this Forum could be in local (german/french) language and could help some expats which are not fluend in english

Good idea? Bad idea?

Wolfgang

Well, if they're on here already it implies they can speak English also, so simply make the posts relating to that information in English.

Multiple languages make for moderation and administration problems, and we have enough of those already thanks.

Good idea, unfortunately not practical at this time.

I think it's a great idea. I know of one expat forum, that has different "rooms" for different nationalities and people in there post in English only.

I did use it in the past, but it's for expats who live in the Netherlands. So it doesn't make much sense anymore to hang out there :-)
I'll stop the "whinging" now before I get my account deleted.
