He plays Abner Ravenwood, Indiana Jones's erstwhile mentor, and Karen Allen's character Marion's father in the original Raiders of the Lost Ark. Karen Allen is also coming back. So no, he is not playing a baddie.
THe baddie, this time out, is Cate Blanchett, who plays a Soviet Army Colonel.

In addition to making great baddies, Brits make great smart people. Whenever you need a smart guy, especially an older mentor, you can never go wrong with a Brit.
