Has anyone seen "the Kebab connection" by Fatih Akin?
I have the dvd right here, but I'm not sure if I should watch it or not.

just watched 'Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy' (on Digiturk) an excellent book and a film that must have been difficult to transfer to the screen. Amusing and suprisingly enjoyable

A inconvenient truth
Informative stuff (if a little tub-thumping at the end). Gore was impressive, I just wish he had spent less time playing with his apple computer.
7/10 for the information and some of the beautiful time lapse photos of our planet warming up.

I finally saw "The Da Vinci Code" last night. It's a decent Ron Howard adaptation of the book and the acting's good for the French and British characters. I wouldn't call Hanks' nor Tatou's performances stellar.
There is a buzz here about the latest David Lynch movie with Laura Dern in it. I don't think I'll see it just yet. I'd rather go for "Pan's Labyrinth" for its own special effects.
"The Devil Wears Prada" I liked it but for some reason, I can't imagine Anna Wintour actually wearing Prada. OK, maybe the ones that Miuccia did that's very un-Prada. She seems more like a Karl Lagerfeld follower.
"Click" was the last DVD I intended to see this weekend (somebody else's choice of course) but I fell asleep. I don't know how it turned out. I don't plan on seeing it again.

Kebab Connection
Funny movie for a boring, lonely night.
Acting is shit, like almost every other German movie, but this hardly effects the movie.
Some very nice points were made about Turks in Germany, and Turks in general. I most certainly laughed more than once.

The Number 23 (Thriller with Jim Carey)
Don't bother seeing it. Another movie that had me itching to walk out at half-time.
The script was awful.

Saw The Good Shepherd and that was a bit slow and boring too, I had to read up on the plot afterwards and found lots of details that were either cut out or I simply missed.

The Queen ( we were not amused) . Mentions details.
Went to see the film The Queen, it was OK. We knew all about it really from the media. Shows HRH and Biair in a good light. Didn't realise Princess Diana' s death happened so soon after Blair's arrival at No 10, that's what one gets for being away from there for so long! There are little details which appear as facts but may not be, eg scene with beautiful stag. Don't worry if you miss it !

Agreed I saw the Queen couple of weeks ago, and it probably didn't even warrant a TV special.
It certainly did shine sun up Charles and Blairs behinds. I thought it could have been worse for Philip, but I didn't see the Queen being influenced by him so much as sharing the same views.
Although the Queen was redeemed in the end and the scene with the stag was moving.
The title of course was all wrong.
Never mind, it was worth seeing just for Helen Mirren's great display.
