Post Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow
Now this was a mind bending movie, me and the wife watched this the other night, i was not that fussed about it, untill i got into it, a real fresh break from the normal movies that are out there,

Think 50's, Think Noar and his ark, Think Black and White, Think Robots, Think Romance, Think spitfire planes that go under water with Zeplins and then think adventure,

Thats what it made me think when watching it, a very good movie, well put together, well worth watching,

Staring , Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Giovanni Ribisi and not forgetting one of my heros Sir Michael GamBon!

id give this one 8.5 out of 10, So go out there and hunt this film down in all the back street VCD or DVD rentals or *cough* back street shops. or also know to be found on most P2P systems.

and heres the web site!

This is probably the first thing that you have written that I agree with Paul. A little gem of a movie!

What did you think of one-eyed Angelina?

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed Angelina is queen. Also you forgot to mention that Angelina was in RIDING BREECHES. Great stuff!

Even Law and Paltrow were not a nauseating as they can sometimes be. Also agree with Paul about Gambon.

It was a groundbreaking concept of a movie (being completely computer generated other than the actors) but that gave it a sense of being like stylish classic adventure cartoons or wonderful old adventure movies (I'm thinking Hitchcock).

And the actors did a fantastic job (given that they did not have much background to play with). They were able to focus on the job of acting itself (rather like in theatre) and the computer generated backdrop, enabled you to focus on their faces a lot more. Quality dialogue held it all together.

As Paul states, well worth a watch.
