the world cup draw on sunday will be interesting...england now 12th in the world cup rankings means they do not automatically qualify, and also means they could be pulled against the likes of germany or others for the qualifying rounds. lets see what happens on sunday.....just heard that o'neil has said he doesnt want the job, sam the man for sure shuldnt get it ...i vote for the special one, but appears he doesnt want it either.....i hope we can change his mind !

The very fact that McClown now refuses to resign because if he does he waives his £2.5 payoff just shows how little class these people have. It's all about the money.[/quote]
Come on...let's all be honest....how many of us would prefer to resign instead of getting the sack AND that big payoff money ?! Not many, I bet
I am quite upset that there won't be England in Euro 2008. A major tournament is no fun without the English team and their fans (it should be acknowledged that the English hooliganism is not half the threat it once was...now places like Italy, Turkey, Greece, Russia and Serbia are breeding grounds for football violence). Of course, the Swiss and Austrian tourism authorities as well as restaurant, hotel, bar, etc owners in those 2 countries must be very upset too because the English fans would surely have been the largest set of visiting fans.
I would also like to see Mourinho in charge of the English national team.
As for Terim....I can I can bear seeing him for some more months but the thought of having to come across Haluk Ulusoy on all TV channels often until and through Euro 2008 makes me feel sick.
Cheers,
Cem

I am not sure I understand. How would being ranked higher mean that they automatically qualify?

England are no longer first seeds that's all. It's about right too if you ask me.
