another good side: we should start concentrated from the very beginning of the tournament since no mistakes will be allowed.
It will be fun! It's clear that the general level of Euro Cup is higher than the World Cup..

on one level, who cares?
on another level, we do not have a bad group although it does include our nemesis Switzerland. Looking for second behind Portugal.

my prediction:
A: switzerland and czech republic
B: germany and croatia
C: italy and france
D: spain and greece
note. A: the swiss are not so bad, they improved their football and most important they play at home. I think that portugal will hardly beat the czechs.
D: sweden apart Ibra is a bit disappointing..

Where are the teams from the British Isles. Do they form their own group?

Interesting predictions, mattia.
I most strongly disagree with you on Group A, however. Switzerland, even at home, is not a very strong team and I cannot see them possibly advancing at Portugal's expense. I even see Turkey beating them. I'm thinking Portugal tops the group with the Czech Republic in second.
Group B: Agreed
Group C: Toss-up. However, in qualifying Holland seemed to be trending upwards while Italy & France have not looked themselves. I see Holland going through but have no idea if France or Italy will accompany them.
Group D: Spain and *dark horse*
This is my dark house group, I really don't see Greece repeating the form that brought them the championship 4 years ago. Sweden could slip through.

On a side note, I loved the quote from Romanian coach Victor Piturca after the draw:
"For us it's a very nice, easy group. We're up against the world champions, the World Cup runners-up and Holland, who we know are very good. I hope it will be an extraordinary experience and why shouldn't we be one of the teams to make it through to the quarter-finals?"
