Gerrit when you say Vanspor which club do you mean, do you mean the one that closed down in 2003 or Belediye Vanspor the club that was founded as a replacement in 2004.
Back in the days when I started following football it was Vanspor which closed down. Naturally now Belediye Vanspor is my favourite Turkish team but I tend to call them just Vanspor. But yes, Belediye Vanspor is my favourite Turkish club.
I guess our saturdays' games are better no? :-) However Malatyaspor isn't in 2nd division? I thought Kartalspor was in 3rd or something.. am I wrong?

Here in Turkey everybody seems to support one of the three "Büyükler" (or just in case Trabzonspor) even if people come from Malatya or Sivaş.

I had fun when I subscribed with Digitürk and I had to fill in the team I support.. I wrote Gaziantepspor (my ever favourite goalkeeper - Walter Zenga - was their coach at that time) and I had never seen such surprise in someone's face :-) I guess I was the first one who didn't write Fener, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş or Trabzonspor :-))
If you really wanted to shock them you should have written down Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesispor, who only have about 500 fans. :)

Malatyaspor and Kartalspor are the 2nd level, not the 3rd. One level below the SuperLig.

So Kartalspor has been promoted last season!

I'm still waiting to see again a team from Izmir in the SuperLig.. Also last season Altay was about to make it.. Really a pity to see the third city of the country without a team in the 1st division..

And what about Belediye Vanspor? Where are they playing now?

Belediye Vanspor is in the TFF 3. Lig...
