Dear Phoenix,

I'm so glad to inform you, as requested, that Scotland beat England 15-9.

Yes, I'm as surprised as you.

But happy. Slight recovery on a shite 6-nations for us. Hope it doesn't stop them sacking Haddock!
England lost to Scotland in a shock result celebrated by true rugby fans the world over.....

one can but dream and hope eh?
Perhaps slightly known for my anti-English tendencies (at least when it comes to rugby) I walked into the British Embassy this afternoon for the match and was greeted by the overwhelmingly English crowd with the line: "That doubles the numbers of Scottish supporters." Ha. Spine and co. weren't laughing at the end though.

Gilly is Gilly, or do you refer to him as Mark, the first Scotland was a typo but i'm sure you noticed i corrected myself on the second go at it.

yes Seggiest was referring to the country, but in any case, first Scotland was spelt wrongly, and the second didn't get a capital letter. All counts you know....phew glad I spelt that right.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome. And by the way it's Marc

the bbc may give you radio coverage of the rugby particularly if you try a regional provider. I know that Radio Scotland was providing commentary even if you were not in the UK last weekend. You may want to investigate that option.

Scotland beats England one week and lose to Italy the next 23-20. You've got to laugh. Well, I am.
