Utd 99 v Liv 05 Which was more dramatic???
One for Ian and Simon. Know you've probably seen it thousands of times but was watching the final on youtube and thought this was a bit different. Might bring back a few memories

Which final was more dramatic then?? A bit apples and oranges I think. For me Utd was more dramatic in terms of punch, but forgettable match. Liverpool was dramatic for the last 80 mins (2nd half, extra time and penalties). Tough call....I choose Utd

You must be bored! It's a non-contest. Man U were the best team in Europe when they won it and should have done so much easier, instead they had to wait right til the end to score two stuffy goals from corners, nothing too out of the ordinary there. Liverpool had a shit team in Rafa's first season and also suffered loads of injuries, we played the best team in Europe and were three nil down, come on son, have a word with yourself!

United were the best team in Europe?? My arse!!! Sticking to my original decision. For terms of sheer punch and impact in the memory, it has to be United. Never been a finish like it, 2 minutes of pure drama. Don't get me wrong Liverpool was obviously great too, but for me doesnt burn in the memory as brightly as Uniteds finish.
And yes, I was bored. A kind of heat exhaustion induced state of stonedness.

Difficult call but I have to go with the Utd win despite being bored stupid for most of the match. I think it wins because of it being the first (and only) treble. An historic moment indeed. However, the Liverpool comeback was gutsy and passionate and if they are the parameters of our choice then you would have to throw the Stanley Matthews final into the hat as well.

United's was certainly more unusual insofar as they don't win it as often as us. Ha ha. Actually, not that it matters because it's all in the eye of the beholder, but there was a great deal made out of the Istanbul final in the press with many commentators saying that it was the greatest final ever. In my eyes it certainly was because it's the only one I attended.
fcuk it, who cares. 18/5 is what truly matters!
