watching 6 nations rugby this weekend?
it all starts this weekend.......so is anyone else on for meeting up for an introduction to North Eureopean culture? (all Turkish times)
Saturday the 2nd
Ireland v Italy, 16:00
England v Wales, 18:30
Sunday the 3rd (i'm 50:50 on whether i'll be there for this to be honest.....)
Scotland v France, 17:00
I've heard that Balans is a good choice.......but if it all goes pear shaped, there's the James Joyce next door....either way we all get to laugh as Englands new machine comes crashing to the floor once more!
İstiklal Cad. Balo Sok. No: 22 Beyoğlu / İstanbul
next door to the James Joyce, map for..... http://www.theirishcentre.com/modules.p ... age&pid=11
is anyone else intersted?

Will be there - we have table reserved in Balans. How's that for forward planning? Do you think I could pass myself of as a German?

given that you turned up wearing Leiderhosen for the drinks the other night without a bob's-your-uncle; i actually thought you were German.
Where are you actually from then Johanney?

given the ridiculous numbers of people who are wishing to come along; i've a feeling of isolation creeping up on me unlike that night in the All Star Steam Rooms off Clapham Common.
For heaven's sake even Utabe has blown me out for meeting in a bar.......does life get more lonesome ranger than that?
so Herr Johanney......any room for a Taff on the corner of your gaff? or does anyone else wish to put their hands up and i dare risk booking a second table ?

I'll be there - at least we (England, come to think of it all the home nations) get qualification in to the Rugby automatically unlike the football!

I have been speaking to the owners of Balans and they assure me that the rugby will be on and that they've been waiting for it with four eyes as the Turks say. They had such a great response to the world cup that they've been anticipating a deluge of thirsty foreign rugby lunatics for this promising 6 nations event. Look forward to seeing you all there. Even if you're not into rugby, come for the atmosphere or if you're a girl your chances of pulling are better than at any other time of year. No money back guarantee on that last bit
