hi,
any one know if there is a direct flight to S. africa ( Joh. ) from ankara? cheapest airline?

I don't believe there is a direct flight. I think you'd have to route via Istanbul or elsewhere

any one know which airlines?Just checked S. Africa airlines... they don't even route into Turkey!

Ankara barely has any international flights anywhere! try THY from IST.

Bit late this, sorry. If it's still relevant, THY have direct flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town from Istanbul. Other options that are usually pretty good is to fly Olympic Airlines (they have direct flights overnight to South Africa from Athens), or via Dubai on Emirates (they tend to be about the cheapest). Of course, you'd probably still have to get your butt through Istanbul first.

if you're doing via Dubia make sure you check your shoes are completely clean and that none of those pesky poppy seeds are anywhere on your clothes....
