i worked in a restaurant called the "Bakers Table" in Portland Maine in 1992.....if you want advice about somewhere with the same name 2000miles away i'd be happy to assist.

i also used some of Portland's finest to fill in gaps in the drainage system of my house in London, so can assist on cement/water/sand ratios as well.

yep.. That rain is what makes me hesitate. I was looking online last night and it said not as much as Seattle... but that's right next door...

I do love the fact that it's close to so many outdoor activities... a primary draw as well as what I have heard about the residents... fairly laid back... Did I get that right?

never been to Portland, Maine but I loved Maine... only if it wasn't so cold in the winter... new england was another option for a while...
