Post any tips for thessaloniki (or salonika)
i'm planning to visit thessaloniki in mid-may for a few days. does anyone have any information about the nightlife? i recall a cool bar called "silver dollar" except it's location :)

hello,
I went to thessaloniki this weekend by train. It was a unique experience :)
sleeping compartment and all. got on the train on friday night 8 pm, arrived the next day at ten(customs clearance took a long time) and came back same night train and arrived in istanbul at 9 am on sunday.
it was fun for a short break. altaugh it was very hot and all the shops were closed after 2 pm on a saturday!!!
