Cheap flights from Istanbul to London
Can any of the more experienced expats out there offer some tips on (or websites for) flying back to London cheaply?
I need to go back for a couple of weekend trips this summer and the only options seem to be paying over £200 with either BA or Turkish Airlines. The obvious cheats of going standby or last minute or flying to Stanstead or Luton aren't possible either - this is starting to sound like a riddle...
Thanks

They are about your only options apart from individual airline offers (KLM often do good discounts) and sprouting a pair of wings of course.

Thanks Ch. That's what I thought would be the case but just wanted to be sure.

If cost is your only concern, try 'german wings' to some undersubscribed german airport, then take a hop from there to London

Thank you all for those tips. Skyscanner looks like a good site and I've bookmarked that for the future.
As I'm only going for weekend trips I've realised that it's worth paying £30 more for a direct flight or landing near my final destination (once train fares are included).
Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet!

Hey alters,
Easyjet flies from Sabiha Gokcen airport on the Asian Side to London Luton.
But getting the Sabiha Gokcen can be really expensive depending on where U live in IST.
Good luck

Thanks.
In the end I've gone with BA. I couldn't get big enough savings to make the trouble worthwhile.

if you book well in advance you probably get a good deal on easyjet.
ref: the transfer to Sab Gok just contact Charly and book the EiT stretch limo...door to door service (free courtesy of Starman! )
but of course you will need an EiT exec club Platinum Card.....1,000,000 posts and/or a moderators position...so keep posting!!!!!

Getting Sabiha Gokcen airport is no longer hurdle. IETT bus service is available from LEVENT 4 and/or KADIKOY to SABIHA GOKCEN round the clock.
