Post Dogubeyazit and Igdir
Has anyone been to Doğubeyazit and Iğdir in eastern Turkey near Iran and Armenian borders? Have a vague notion of doing some documentary photography there but dont really know what it is like.

Have been at Iran, Syria and Iraq borders a few times. What do you plan to shoot? What would you like to know about?
Safety? Living conditions? Language barrier (in some small places, not many people speak Turkish)? Logistics? Accomodation?

It is mainly looking at the lives of the people and the isolation from mainstream Turkish life, it is a bit late but this area was the centre of the bird flu and a lot of Turkish columnists had termed it the 'other Turkey'. Also thinking of covering a similar approach in Şemdinli. Only in vague idea stage at the moment so generally looking for people's opinions on the area. In most areas of organisation and local fixers i can go get help from my work although if anyone knows of organisations working in that area it would be useful.
