Post incredible india!
hi everyone.. just got back from two weeks in kerala, India - and had the most AMAZING time! what a beautiful place... and so easy to get around! I spent time time in Cochin.. a really nice little city, up in the mountains and tea plantations at Munnar... and just kicking back at this absolutely stunning beach called Varkala. I went down to the tip of India - where 3 bodies of water meet.. and saw the sunset and rise over the India continent. Kerala also has all these crazy backwater trips you can take.. beautiful and relaxing! Two days ago I went to an elephant training camp and got to stand in the river and give elephants their morning bath :D
I also kicked it at an ashram.. but instead of finding inner peace I had a grouchy roomate and some yucky food hahah

speaking of food... curry lovers: Keralan food is hot and spicy!! i could have eaten every twenty minutes there! Yummy! Lassis, chai, special paranthas only made in Kerala.... eating with your fingers! everything.. absolutely everything I had was great tasting! and kingfisher beer... yum!

but yeah.. southern India is a friendly cheap place that I totally fell in love with... can't wait for my next holiday to India!!And I will happily tell you all about it at the next meetup if you ask me haha
namaste!

nice one nana. i loved kerala and also parts of goa. cant say i was into the kingfisher beer, but when in rome right? :) i remember a beer called 'kings' when i was there. still around? never did the backwater trips, but drank lassis and sweet/salty sodas with lemon all day.

i'm trying to find some vcd or dvd copies of some films i worked on over there. one of which was filmed in kerala. wish i knew you were there, maybe a vcd shop has some.

glad you loved india. i look to return some day as well. namaste
cheers

Post well.. they do call it gods own country...
hey matt... glad you liked kerala too.. it was truly a chilled out .. blissed out place. well - i suppose its always the people you meet and the things you do as well!
didnt get to goa this time around - wanted to spend all my time really getting to know kerala! maybe next time... i want to head up north though.
but listen - send me a list of films that you worked on and perhaps i can ask my indian friends to look for them and send them to either me or you
have you seen the movie GURU? a current favourite.. excellant soundtrack
and a new film came out this month... oh dammit.. the name escapes me right now.. with bacharach (spelling?? - the dude with the white beard) - its being very very hyped
as far as the beer... an ice cold kingfisher has little comparison.. except for a sandpiper (with the cute silver label) or golden eagle in tamil nadu. kings? didnt see that one.
but mmm mmmm mmm lassis are the best... esp bc they prepare your tummy for the spicy food!
but yea... send me a list - i will see what i can do!
cheers babe - stay warm in TdotOdot!
