Post Öğretmen Evi II
Hi,
Anyone know anything about the Öğretmen Evi in Izmir, cesme & selcuk. Will probably need another one south of there but haven't figured out where I'll end up yet.
Are these places I can just roll into ( for later this month) or do I need to make reservations?
By the way my Turkish isn't that great, do you foresee a problem with me staying in Öğretmen Evis
Thanks everyone in advance

You need to reserve your place (if I'm not mistaken) and I've heard the places in the resort areas can fill up quickly. I could also anticipate you having a problem getting the discounted rate because you are not a Turkish national - hopefully you won't have issues but it is good to have a contingency. I tried staying at the 'guest of an employee' rate at the railroad workers' guesthouse in Ankara as a relative of my travelling companions worked for TCDD. The rate was something like 10 ytl per night which applied to my Turkish travelling companions but they charged me something outrageous like 80 ytl per night because I didn't have a Turkish kimlik. My student ID from a Turkish university did not sway them nor did my residence permit.
