Why not Odessa!!! Kiev is meant to be a city of art and culture! Looks pretty spectacular!
In line with Starry's observations - look at this http://www.kievukraine.info/male_heaven.htm

It's a beautiful city indeed !
Especially if you like Orthodox churches and war museums. Architecture is very Musolinian or Russian looking for the big buildings, but very colorful for the houses.
Relatively small city to visit, VERY friendly people, beautiful women and lots of drinking eveywhere ! Night life is very pleasant too, but you have to make sure you won't get a bill on your bedside table the next morning.
But bad weather, especially in the long winter months. And you have to be weary of mushrooms and other such veggies that absorb nuclear waste...
If you move there, I would strongly recommend buying property instead of renting !

Thanks for the hints Eiffel!
I assume you visited there or did you actually live there?
Anyway, will you be at the EiT party tonight? We might chat a bit about Kiev
Cheers
Dirk

Looking forward to it Dirk, but I've only spent 3-4 days there about 18 months ago...

Is this your scene or your sin?
Best wishes Ddens. You'll definitely have more reasons to party more since you will be quivering in the cold for a longer period.
If you go alone, you will surely find many young (is this the age you prefer?) dancers and beach goers there. Hope you'll find someone who'll keep you warm in the winter...without that big bill in the morning (as someone suggested).
Fine thanks D. Pollyanna is keeping me company here for a few days so everything's good.
BTW, did you mean you want local women and foreigners too? You'd better stock up on the vodka to keep you warm.
Give her my regards, I believe we once met at Eddi and Lucy's place in Arnavutköy!
Don't like vodka, will have to stick to other drinks to keep warm
