 another west wing question
if we just had the season finale this week...and it was the end of season 5 ... where do we go from here?
WAS/is there a season 6?
if, as you say, season 5 was not the best of the series (and BOY, that has me wanting more and more),
are we going to get the previous seasons on digiturk? or did they 'sell' the 5th season because it wasn't on
par with the previous years? (ie...it cost less to 'rent'?...sorry, don't know the terminology)
i have to say that this past week's shows had some might strong parallels with what was happening
in DC this week...there were whole sections that could have been transposed into 'real life'...
amazing program...

There were seven seasons of the show. You are watching Season 6 right now. That whole Camp David summit;, Leo's heart attack etc? That's Season 6. Apparently, Season 6 is better than Season 5.

ah..thanks for the clarification. it's nice to know that someone out there knows about this stuff.
i sure don't!
but do you know if we're going to get the whole series here? or just one season's worth?
i think i heard that they've gone back into production...is that true? NEW west wings are being
produced even as i type? or did i dream it?
until this current admin is out of office, i think that west wing has a lot of interested viewers...
not that it's 'news' but maybe it helps understand what SHOULD be done in DC.

on second thought...that's probably not true...
DC doesn't operate the way we think it does...
nor does it operate the way it should...
but it's given me an understanding of a world i'm not privvy to...
how accurate it is, is anyone's guess....
but it's an excellent show with a very snappy script.

It's definitely not in production.
We will get the whole show. They showed the previous seasons in the summer. I am sure they will revisit them at some point in the future.
It's not totally accurate. I can't comment for the latter two seasons for I have not seen a whole lot, but the first four seasons weren't that true to life, either. It's an idealised version of the Clinton White House, really; even though they went out of their way to refute it during the first season.

without even knowing this, i sensed it was more Clinton than Bush...
for obvious reasons. and it did have the smell and taste of American President...
oh, in an ideal world.....
sigh...
what is, is...and what isn't isn't...
thanks A.A.

Well, it's a Democratic administration, so...

I liked 7th season they rapped it nicely.
I do not want to spoil here. But something I wanted to see happen for a long time finally did happen.

If you liked West Wing, try to watch "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" -- new show (now showing in US) from Aaron Sorkin (creator West Wing), stars Matthew Perry from Friends and Bradley Whitford (Josh from WW). Cool show, same kinda thing as WW, but loses its sense of awe when you realize that this is not the White House but the backstage of a Saturday Night Live type of show...

Last night's episode was so misjudged. Leo is having a quadruple by-pass surgery, and the gang are joking about Turkmenistan. It should have been introspective, and the "running round like headless chickens" plot should have been kept for the subsequent episode when they could have kept Leo in recovery, and thus away from the action.

How, why....what is happening. How did CJ go from being press secretary to Chief of Staff?
Miss it for a few weeks and the whole world turns upside down.
