Post Digiturk Language Change
Anyone know what's going on with Digiturk? I've noticed that some of the movie channels have changed from Eng language / TR subtitles, to Turkish language only. Is this a permanent thing? I know that you can choose the language option but my wife and I watch prefer the Eng/TR option.

I believe it's a gradual phasing out of English in favour of Turkish, natural you would assume given our location.

The same thing has been happening on Cable with Discovery, National Geo and Eurosport all going over to Turkish language only; unfortunately on Cable we don't have the option of switching it over to diff. languages.

They aren't getting rid of the "English" option in Digiturk; they've just re-adjusted the subtitle options.

Previously, you could only watch the first showing of a movie in the original language or in Turkish. There used to be a second showing on Movie Max 2 or Gold Max 2, immediately after the film ended on Movie Max or Gold Max, in the original language with Turkish subtitles. They revised it now; so that you can watch even the first showing in the original language and with subtitles.

You'll need to switch the language to "original." There is a "subtitle" button on your Digiturk remote; I believe it is aligned with the "language" button, but on the left hand side. Click that. Voila.

It's a bit temperamental at times, so you might need to click on it a few times. It does work eventually.
