Post D smart... is it smart?
Another zam from Digiturk, which now costs a lot of cash when added up over a year.

Does anyone here have D- smart ??, how does it compare to Digiturk ??, do any of the channels have multi language options i.e Turkish / English ??

Any comments in general about the service ?

Cheers

my in laws have it and from what they describe, it pays for itself in less than a year.

The channels as I remember are either in turkish or English but they claim the language switching option will come in the future.

They get most of the same channels as digiturk and some different ones too.

However my significant other said there's some kind of court case against them and they may get shut down in a year or two...

good luck

Absolutely pointless to buy D-Smart.

Call Digiturk and tell them you are going to cancel your subscription due to price hikes - they offer you a deal right away.

Arikan, it still remains to be seen whether D-Smart will work out or not. Doan and DigiTurk are in a contest right now to see who can sign up the best new content, football is no longer the panacea that it once was so you have a situation whereby Digiturk signs up Disney and D-Smart signs up the Cartoon network. The D's have some plans and if they work out they will be a contender. Taht being said, it would seem on the home grown thematic channel front that Digiturk is winning the war.

Yeah - for the time being D-Smart is anything but. It can change though, obviously.
